CHRIS R WILSON

Chris R Wilson's animated and live action films have already garnered a substantial following. His work includes the viral short film STAR DRUNK which was the sequel the short “Cleverbot: Do You Love Me” which also received national attention on Huffington Post, NPR, the front page of MSN, Daily Motion, and more. The success of STAR DRUNK spawned THE DRUNK SHOW series where several episodes have received great press, as well as the episode Dread Drunk won Chris Best Director and Best Visual Effects at the Portland Indie Film Awards in 2016.
Wilson has two degrees in Media Arts and Animation and is well-known in the animated film world as a rare writer/director who also does all of his own animations and visual effects and also having been published in several national books and magazines. His animated work was utilized by a company doing state-of-the-art post conversion 3D. This collaboration was featured in the May 2013 issue of Post Magazine. His animated film, “The Chronicles of Nerm” (2014) a sequel to his first animation The Adventures of Nerm and BG, features a cast of celebrity talent, including Zoe Bell (ABC’s “Lost”, Quentin Tarantino’s “Deathproof”), Shelly Lipkin (TV’s “Laverne & Shirley” and “The Fugitive”), Marc Graue (Voices for “World of Warcraft”), and Alex Mentzel (TV’s “Leverage”, with Morgan Freeman in “Feast of Love”).
Wilson’s sci-fi short film, “James vs Reality” was officially selected at over 40 US and international film festivals and won Best Comedic Short at the DIY Film Festival in Los Angeles, the Award of Excellence at The Accolade Film Awards in San Diego, and Best Sci-Fi at the world famous DRAGON*CON in Atlanta, GA 2011 and Best Comedy at the Angeleno's in Los Angeles in 2012. Among other festival awards.
Following his work on “James vs Reality”, Wilson was a producer for the feature film, “Gabby’s Wish”, starring Adrienne King of “Friday the 13th”. “Gabby’s Wish” was officially selected for a live presentation at Film-com in Nashville, April 2012 and WON POWfest 2013 as well as other awards and is available on Amazon Prime. Wilson approaches every project by putting himself in the theater seat wanting to be entertained. Other projects to date includes THE SURVIVAL GUY web-series where he directed 18 episodes.
When Chris R Wilson is not directing his own films he can be found working on a range of creative projects with his business partner in Northern Media Solutions where they create websites, web content,commercial videos, such as a viral video for actor Danny Trejo's LA restaurant and more. His role varies from directing, producing, writing, editing, color correction, visual effects, and 3D animation and cinematography.
